Armed Robbery in Bryans Road: Juveniles Facing Charges
BRYANS ROAD, Md.,—On Dec. 14, an armed robbery and assault shook the quiet community of Bryans Road. Charles County detectives have taken swift action, identifying and charging four juveniles in connection with the heinous crime. The incident unfolded when two juveniles met another youth at a local Bryans Road spot to purchase THC vape cartridges. However, their innocent transaction took a dark turn when three additional suspects showed up and robbed the victims at gunpoint.
Investigation and Arrests
In the aftermath of the robbery, one victim suffered severe injuries, requiring hospitalization after being pistol-whipped and assaulted. The suspects quickly fled the scene, prompting immediate action from the Charles County Criminal Investigations Division. Thanks to the diligent work of detectives, alongside support from the Neighborhood Enforcement Team and school resource officers, the suspects were swiftly identified. On Dec. 16, authorities executed three search warrants, leading to the arrest of three suspects. The fourth individual was apprehended at school.
During the searches, detectives made a chilling discovery – two firearms, one of which was reported stolen, along with evidence linking the suspects to the robbery.
Charges
Three of the suspects, all 16 years old, have been charged as adults for their roles in the armed robbery. In contrast, the fourth suspect, aged 15, faced charges as a juvenile in accordance with Maryland law.
Ongoing Investigation
Despite the arrests, the case remains under investigation by Det. Logsdon. Authorities are working tirelessly to determine if the suspects could be connected to other criminal incidents in the area.
