So, like, there was this big ol’ brawl that went down at the Galveston cruise terminal on April 26, 2025, as passengers were getting off the Carnival Jubilee ship after a seven-day cruise in the Western Caribbean. And get this, 24 people got banned from ever sailing with Carnival again because of it! Crazy stuff, right?
The whole thing was caught on video by some dude named Trelle Ray and shared on Facebook. People were shoving each other, knocking over signs and barriers, and even pushing someone to the ground and punching and kicking them. Security tried to break it up, but the fight just kept going. Trelle Ray was all like, “It went down this morning,” in his post on April 26. No one really knows why it all went down in the first place.
The Carnival Cruise Line folks were not having any of it, though. They were all like, “This is not cool,” and told USA Today that 24 people were now on their Do Not Sail list. The Port of Galveston Police Department had to step in, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection detained some folks, with one person even getting arrested by the port police. They didn’t say what the charge was, but someone definitely got in trouble.
This isn’t the first time Carnival has had to deal with passenger violence, either. Back in 2018, they kicked over 20 people off a cruise in Australia because of a fight. And in 2024, there was a whole brawl in the buffet area on the Carnival Paradise, and nearly 30 people got banned. Seems like Carnival doesn’t mess around when it comes to keeping things under control.
But, like, props to Carnival for acting fast and shutting down that nonsense. They wanna make sure everyone stays safe during the whole getting on and off the ship process. Those 24 banned passengers are now part of a growing list of troublemakers who can’t sail with Carnival anymore. Gotta keep the peace, right?
So, yeah, that’s the scoop on what went down at the Galveston cruise terminal. Not really sure why this matters, but hey, that’s the news for ya. Just another day in the life of a cruise ship, I guess.
