zayn-defeats-rollins-breakker-on-wwe-raw-southern-md-update

WWE Raw was totally wild this week at the T-Mobile Center, with all the drama and action you could handle. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker really went to town on poor Sami Zayn, who just wouldn’t back down from the Raw roster. The whole thing was live on Netflix, and it was leading up to WWE Backlash, so you know it was intense.

Zayn had to deal with Rollins, Breakker, and Paul Heyman in a super heated segment. Rollins even tried to get Zayn to switch over to a different night to avoid getting beat up, but Zayn said no way. That led to a match between Zayn and Breakker, which ended real quick when Breakker hit four Spears and the ref had to stop it. Then Rollins came in with a Stomp and left Zayn in bad shape. WWE said, “After Sami Zayn refused to be bullied off Raw by Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker devastated Zayn by hitting four Spears until the official was forced to call for the bell.”

In the women’s division, Rhea Ripley beat Roxanne Perez, but not really because Giulia jumped in and messed things up, causing a disqualification. The tension is high now, setting the stage for some big matches at Backlash. And then there was Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria facing off against Becky Lynch, who admitted to taking out Valkyria’s friend Bayley before WrestleMania. They got into a huge fight, and now they’re set for a title match at Backlash.

Over in the NXT Women’s division, Stephanie Vaquer took on Ivy Nile in a non-title match and totally crushed it with an SVB finisher. Vaquer is really making a name for herself on Raw. Plus, Pat McAfee was talking trash to Gunther after Gunther attacked him before, so now everyone’s wondering if they’ll have a showdown at Backlash.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, showed everyone who’s boss by beating Lynch and Valkyria. People are still talking about Lynch turning on Valkyria, adding even more drama to the women’s division.

The whole night was a big deal because Raw is now on Netflix, starting in January 2025. The show was live at 8 p.m. ET with Michael Cole and McAfee on commentary and Alicia Taylor as the ring announcer. The crowd was super into it, making all the big moments even more exciting.

With all the drama from Zayn’s refusal, Ripley’s disqualification, and Lynch’s aggression, things are heating up for Backlash on May 10 in St. Louis. WWE is really leaning into Raw and SmackDown to bring in fans from all over the world with these crazy storylines.
